Polish Xtreme Wrestling
Polish Xtreme Wrestling was a backyard group (later registered as a sports club) from GΕuchoΕazy. It was active between 2011 and 2013.
History
The group was active between 2011 and 2013, and could only hold events in spring and summer due to using a DIY outdoors ring. It was the federation where wrestlers such as Szymon Siwiec and especially Shadow got their start.
Most, if not all, PXW shows were held in the
back yard of Terry Shadow's home at the time. According to the article by Nowa Trybuna Opolska, their ring was built following instructions found online, and used old tyres to add spring to the floor, while the ring ropes were made of cheap manila rope.
The biggest event held by PXW was Backyardmania III, a backyard supershow which featured wrestlers from many other backyard organizations active in Poland at the time.
Championships
PXW had a number of titles, all of them toy replicas of WWE belts.
The championships promoted by PXW were:
- PXW Championship
- PXW Tag Team Championship
- ECW Championship
- PXW Hardcore Championship
In early 2013, a popular Polish hip-hop artist O.S.T.R. released a music video featuring PXW wrestlers, such as Manny, Black Joker, Terry Shadow, Mr. Fitness and others.
